Our Work
We work together with our community on practical projects that improve water quality, restore biodiversity, and support sustainable land use across East Otago.
Our region
Collectively, the East Otago Catchment Group covers approximately 1100 km², stretching from the Waihemo Shag River catchment in the north through to the Waikouaiti River catchment in the south, including Stony Creek, Te Hakapupu Pleasant River, and Waipaku Post Office Creek.
It also includes the communities of Palmerston, Dunback, Waikouaiti, and Karitāne where land, water and people are closely connected.

Catchment monitoring and science projects
Native revegetation and water improvement works
Supporting farmers with farm planning and implementing best practices

Engaging with schools and local groups
